Rank 3: Lieutenants- Supervise Sergeants and Deputies. They have authority over Sergeants. They report straight too the Commander if major events are happening.
Rank 4: Commander- Commanders have full authority for tactical operations as well as supervision over the lower ranked members.
Rank 5: Undersheriffs- Report directly too the Sheriff and correspond with the Commander.
Rank 6: Sheriff- The sheriff has FULL authority over everything and everyone. He is the "top dog" and what he says will go. He will be in charge of all the department's operations and funding.
In the Police force, ranks are used for organization and an easier command structure.
